Privacy policy

PCL Printer. Last updated 3 October 2026.

PCL Printer prints images, PDFs, and text files to a PCL6 printer on your local network. The app does not require an account.

Information stored on your device

The app stores these items only on the phone:

• Printer names, IP addresses, ports, and which printer is the default
• Print settings, such as paper size, resolution, color, copies, and duplex
• The text of the last print error, until a later print succeeds
• A temporary copy of a file you choose or share into the app, so it can be printed

The copy used for a print job is deleted when that job finishes. A selected file may remain in the app’s cache until you select another file or remove the app. Uninstalling the app deletes this stored information.

Information sent off the device

The print job is sent only to the printer address you select. The app does not send your files, printer list, or settings to the developer.

Finding printers uses the local network to look for JetDirect printers. That search stays on your network.

The support icon can open optional Google Play in-app tips. Payment details are handled by Google Play, not by this app. A tip does not unlock extra features. Google’s privacy policy applies to Play purchases.

What this app does not do

PCL Printer does not show ads, does not include analytics or crash reporting, and does not sell personal information.

Children

The app is not directed at children.
